"This may work for thinner leash material, but the metal pass through quality is such that it couldn't be used on our metal leashes because it didn't have the correct mount points"

If you use thicker leash materials, this product might be a good choice the controls may not be just right for thinner leashes like what we used so we wouldn't recommend it for any thinner leashes. But it may work for thicker leash materials.
