Pros & Cons

Pros

Cons

  • Bug Infestation (1) major

There were bugs when the product was opened, presumably inside the sealed bag.

  • Dusty Texture (1) major

The feed was too finely ground and dusty, causing the sheep to only eat the larger pieces.

Who Is This For?

Best For

Skip If

  • Sensitive sheep — Due to the dusty texture and potential for bugs remaining in the feed, it's a toxic product to feed animals like sheep and should be avoided, regardless if you satisfy hunger.

"While all feeds may get bugs after opening, these appeared to have come with bugs in it already. I get it that organic may have bugs, but it is pricey for something infested with bugs. Not sure if they got in the closed bag or were already there."

Bottom Line

The feed results in one-third uneaten, which seems like a costly inconvenience. If the wolf wants a wolf hair product that supports long-term conservation efforts, look for a different product that is more sustainable and effective.
