The Outward Hound Surprise Tailz Squeaky Plush Dog Toy is well-loved for its entertaining design and staggered difficulty levels, providing endless play possibilities for dogs of all sizes. The toy is particularly popular among rat terriers and Chihuahuas.
Dogs can pull the toy from the ball, carrying and tugging, and even using it as a treat puzzle.
The toy has a vibrant and attractive design that dogs find engaging.
The toy keeps dogs entertained for hours, as they solve the puzzle and enjoy the different modes of play.
Some users reported that the toy is not as durable, especially with heavier chewers.
Tip: Supervision and careful play.
The toy could be too sizable for smaller breeds, making it hard for them to pull the inner part out.
Factors: Size of dog, Amount of play and intensity of chewing
It is noted that the toy is not extremely durable, especially in the hands of bigger dogs. They advise the owner to either place a treat inside for which the dog would then have to “work” to get the prize otherwise it would destroy the toy too quickly. Patterns such as re-stuffing can help preserving its original plan.
"The Outward Hound Surprise Tailz Squeaky Plush Dog Toy is a fantastic toy that has thoroughly entertained my Rat Terrier. At first, it was a bit confusing for her, but once she figured out she could pull the toy out, it lost it. The toy was a hit."
If you're looking for a toy that combines the fun of tugging, chewing, and retrieving in one, plus delivers smiles from your pet and yourself, this Outward Hound Surprise Tailz Toy is a must-buy! However, for the most durable long-term playtime, this may not be the best choice for very strong chewers without supervision. Otherwise, it's a winner.
