In a Nutshell

  • Excellent squirrel resistance.
  • Ideal for smaller bird species.
  • Top-notch construction and durability.

Quick Verdict

I got sick of feeding the squirrels and now I feel sorry for them because they try and try but cannot get the food. I’m not entirely convinced my cardinals are small enough though. Red finches, chickadees, downy woodpeckers, juncos all enjoying their birdseed though.

Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a reliable, squirrel-resistant feeder, the Squirrel-X is a great option. However, consider the size of the birds you want to attract and that larger birds such as cardinals may have difficulty accessing it. Overall, it is a sound investment for bird lovers focused on protecting their avian visitors from unwanted squirrel intruders.
