While the Lixit Chew Guard is a functional and well-designed water bottle holder for smaller animals, the high incidence of leaks and fitting issues make it a risky choice. If you have a suitable setup and are willing to monitor for leaks, it could be worthwhile, but buyers should proceed with caution. Alternatives may offer better durability and compatibility, especially for deeper aquariums or animals that chew persistently. Follow the manufacturer’s care instructions for best results.
