"This is a great size but it's reddish color instead of great. Size is great for G Scale track on an outdoor railroad. Glues well with landscape rock glue or diluted Titebond III for a more permanent application. Some railroad used red granite and this would work."

Bottom Line

If color consistency and this grit is not deal-breaking then it is a good product for your chickens. If you need a grit that is specifically great and not reddish, you might consider alternatives. The price point and delivery remain positive aspects.
