In a Nutshell

  • Excellent for short play sessions but refraining purchasing due to low-quality
  • The material just isn't high quality, even for smaller dogs this will fail fast

Quick Verdict

The ZippyPaws Mini Donutz Dog Toy is a fun and engaging toy for dogs, especially smaller breeds. However, it faces significant durability issues, with many users reporting it rips apart easily, posing potential choking hazards. The squeaker is a hit, but the toy's lifespan is generally short-lived.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Fun Shape (2)

Puppies love the unique donut shape and the hole in the middle

  • Gripping (3)

I have a pom. and he has the smallest mouth I have ever seen on a fur baby. I have had many Poms but his mouth is by far the smallest. The toy is just the perfect size for his little mouth. Added bonus it rolls which makes it go faster when you throw it and I love to see him bring it back to me with his little nose thru the donut hole.

  • Engaging (1)

Small dogs, like the Poms would intuitively want to pull the toy through the crater and roll around

Cons

  • Durability (3) major

The toy is not very durable it was ripped apart by a small puppy in less than a day

  • Quality Concerns (3) major

Many dog toys such as miniature Keisha’s are made of polyester. Suitable for heavy chewers the excess fur strains at inflation causing tearing. Maintenance may know more than some reviews suggest.

  • Choking Hazard (1) critical

The toy can easily come apart and pose a choking hazard

"Was not expecting that to happen"

Bottom Line

While the design and initial fun factor are great, the durability of plastic materials and durability concerns make it a lower-rated choice. It happens to be best suited for smaller or more moderate pawed puppies. Acclimate to disappointment with toy-cluttered homes, or hope your dog licks it and plays it soft rather them having to bite it.
